This special bird, since the time of ancient civilizations, has been celebrated as a symbol of hope and happiness, often associated with the sun and its divine energy. Also, the hummingbird is considered as a messenger of the end of turbulent times, but also a sign that the spirit of a loved one is near and is sending his/ her love and support. Its beauty, the incredibly intense colors of this bird's feathers and its fiery nature to defend its territory are also the reason why the Aztecs believed that the God was made of hummingbird feathers that fell from the sky. Hence, this bird has a special place in this portfolio, because both with its external appearance and the mysticism and symbolism attributed to it, it is the embodiment of a perfect model for painting. The painting was made using the combined method of acrylic and oil paint.
